So What Had Happened Was… a few weeks ago I wrote the following Facebook Post:
PS- I wrote this earlier this am and used Facebook’s new handy dandy “save draft” feature. I debated myself on whether to post or not to post. You know which one won. Be Brave…
“‘She was warned,’ Mr. McConnell said of Ms. Warren. ‘She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.'”
Of course she did! And so must we all. She had to sit down and shut up. That just means we all need to stand up and not allow what matters to be shut down.
I know we are over all the “political posts”. And I’ve tried to avoid them. Last night my feelings of disgust, anger, disappointment, hopelessness and victimhood were all rising. This morning I am rising….into action, hope, faith and power. We’re all in this Together. Our minorities, women and children cannot be messed with. Thank you King Trump for the reminder.
Oh and if you don’t “like” my post, that’s totally ok. If it’s too political, keep scrolling. That’s totally ok too. Standing up Together is pretty damn powerful. But I’m gonna go ahead and stand up…even if I’m alone. That’s all…for now ????#LetLizSpeak #imstandingup #enoughisenough
Some of my Women Warrior role models who are slaying life: (I love that this list is long and keeps growing!)
I then proceeded to list the names of all the absofrickinfabulous Women who inspire me. It became a very lengthy, personal and special list. Then I started to thinking- Each and every one of these Women deserves to be recognized and honored. And that is how this Heart Project of mine- Women Warriors was born.
My intention is to share with you a glimpse into who these Women are (In Their Own Words), to share with you what these Women mean to me (In My Own Words), and to share with you a powerful saying or life philosophy to sink into (Warrior Womantra). May we all be inspired to be Trailblazing Truth Tellers, Liberating Light Leaders, and Collaborating Change Creators who Together Believe in the Power of Love, Hope, Possibility and Positivity.
I hope you enjoy reading this feature as much as I enjoyed creating it. Here’s the first one of many more to come! Simply click on the PDF file link below to read.
